Referring back to the rear gunner, RGS2 gives you a larger rear gun engagement zone, and stacks with BE. BS2 is by no means a hard requirement, but between it and the DE skill, I find that I land my bombs much more accurately & destroy ground targets much more consistently with them. Currently I run Bomb Sight II, Rear Gun Stabilization II, and Concealing Livery II on my A-26B. The biggest influence to pilot skills, and rear gunner skills to a lesser extent, are upgrades. Admittedly the rear gunner is the easiest to spec, though it still bears consideration to find the optimal build. Ultimately, your rear gunner has enough max skill points to take all but 1-2 rear gunner skills, so the question is more of what order to take these skills than which skills in particular.

The A-26B's rear gun already has a pretty decent crit chance, so Precision Gunner certainly isn't a bad choice, but shouldn't be the first choice either. From here, taking Defensive Fire seems like the most logical choice, as while you have a formidable engagement range and superb RoF/DPS, that help you if a heavy fighter drops in on your tail, or you're facing two or more threats. Armorer leads to Ballistics Expert, and having it, BE, & the Rear Gun Stabilization upgrade allows your rear gun to engage most if not all threats well outside their firing range.

Plus it stacks with Eagle-Eyed on the pilot. While the A-26B has great rear gun firing angles, and solid forward-facing armament, it doesn't make you invulnerable, and it's important to be able to spot threats before they can force the engagement.

For the rear gunner, I have Vigilance & Armorer.
